DRAWING/ 25.09.2019/ JAI SHAILEN RANJIT/ WEEK 9

We were introduced to something called colour swatches and colour mapping this class and told that we would be doing colour schemes and then paintings in the upcoming weeks.

We were asked to get a print out of a colourful picture, make a linear geometric grid and carefully map different colours in each box to understand the different shades and colour we were using.

We were instructed not to do any kind of shading and just solid blocks of colour because this exercise was just one for us to understand colour mapping properly.

I CHOSE THIS PICTURE BECAUSE I AM INSPIRED BY THE ARTIST, FRANCESCO NELLY

Sir showed us a Star Wars book as reference for the zine. This time he wanted us to understand the importance of making a thumbnail before starting to fair each box out. A thumbnail is basically a frame to get an accurate picture of what needs to be done inside each box(like a quick rough draft before creating the story board)
